Group Time: Social and Emotional Development, language and literacy development, Cognitive development (Social systems understanding), creativity, approaches to learning. (Preschoolers and toddlers) While welcoming our preschoolers to daycare, we will be also encouraging the toddlers to sit down with us and participate as well.
Toddler: We will sing "Where is _(Friend's name)_." We will go over our shapes and colors. We will continue talking about books!! If a friend brings a book, we'll read it :-)
Preschool: We will sing "Where is _(Friend's name)_." We will go over our helping hands, calendar, weather, and how we feel today? We will continue talking about books, we will do a recap on what is an author and illustrator... Today we have a special surprise, we will be having a special friend join our daycare (Not a child) it's a cat, and he will become apart of our reading program. Today we will give him or her a name and we'll pick a friend to bring him/her home this weekend.. While he/she is visiting your home please take the time to write in the journal that comes with the cat, plus take pictures on your activities you do with him! Everyone will get a turn!!
