Dr. Seuss week...

Group Time: Social and Emotional Development, language and literacy development, Cognitive development (Social systems understanding), creativity, approaches to learning. (Preschoolers and toddlers) While welcoming our preschoolers to daycare, we will be also encouraging the toddlers to sit down with us and participate as well.

Cat in the Hat day: Please wear your favorite hat!

Toddler: We will sing "Where is _(Friend's name)_...." We will go over our shape and colors. We will do some rhyming words with objects and pictures. We will read "Ct in the hat".

Preschool: We will go over our helping hands, calendar, weather, and how we feel today? We will start talking about Dr. Seuss, who is he? What has he done that, makes him important? Lots of questions! We will read "Cat in the Hat".

Skills:
-Preschool/toddlers: Shapes and colors.

-Toddlers/preschool: We will be practicing counting on our calendar, and more.

-Preschool: Letter of the week: S, s (Main focus)

-Preschool: Practice zipping, shoe tying, and buttoning buttons. (Main focus)

-Rhyming day.

Art: Cat in the hat, hat. Cutting strips of red paper and gluing it onto paper to make a pattern of his hat. (Preschool)

Toddlers: Will have pre-cut strips of red paper to place on white paper to create the cat in the hat, hat.

Large motor: Kick ball.
