Pumpkins/Halloween fun...

Group Time: Social and Emotional Development, language and literacy development, Cognitive development (Social systems understanding), creativity, approaches to learning. (Preschoolers and toddlers) While welcoming our preschoolers to daycare, we will be also encouraging the toddlers to sit down with us and participate as well:

Toddler/Preschool: Since this week we will be getting back to basics, we will start our day with our welcome song..We will write and spell out our names. We will continue talking about Halloween and what we enjoy the most.. Dressing up? Going trick or treating? Handing out candy?..

Skills: Cognitive, motor development, approaches to learning:

-Preschools: Write down and spell out name

-Toddlers: Spell out name.. Name recognition. 

-Toddlers/preschoolers: Number of the week: 9

-Preschool: Letter of the week: T, t

-Preschool: Practice zipping, shoe tying, and buttoning buttons. (Main focus)

-Shape day

Creativity and the Arts:

-Make a pumpkin from yarn..

Large motor: Gross motor skills are the abilities required in order to control the large muscles of the body for walking, running, sitting, crawling , and other Free activities: (Preschool/toddler)
